Moorcroft Police Dept.

The Moorcroft Police Department consists of 4 Officers and one Clerk serving the Moorcroft Community of approx. 807 citizens. It was established in 1906 when the Town of Moorcroft was incorporated. Today the Police Department features a force capable of handling all facets of Law Enforcement for the Town. Moorcroft Police Department is a "Community Policing" oriented department, featuring a Bike patrol in the summer, house watches, and many other features that are common in big city departments.

The Police Department is dispatched out of the Crook County Sheriff's Office in Sundance, Wyoming, and works closely with the Sheriff's Office, the Wyoming Highway Patrol, Game and Fish, and other agencies in Weston, Crook, and Campbell Counties.

The Police Department is available 24 hrs through the Dispatch Center, and its Adminstration is open Monday thru Friday, 8 am to 5 pm. Moorcroft Police Dept. has teletype and 911 Capability, as well as Fax and internet email.
