THE MOORCROFT POLICE DEPARTMENT IS NOT CURRENTLY ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR POLICE OFFICER.
Starting Pay: Dependant on Experience
4 hours of paid sick leave per pay period (approx. 104 hrs per year)
8 hours of paid personal leave earned per quarter (4 days per year)
10 days of paid vacation earned after 1 year of probationary employment
Health and Dental Coverage: Blue Cross/Blue Shield - full premium paid by town for employee and family
Retirement: State of Wyoming Law Enforcement Retirement plan. (20 years) Contributions paid fully by the Town.
Take home patrol vehicle
Uniforms provided by Department
(Officer has choice of carrying own duty weapon, or using one provided by the Department.)
NOTE: Officers who take conditional offer of employment and are NOT certified Law Enforcement Officers from Wyoming or another State accepted by Wyoming P.O.S.T. can possibly be required to sign an agreement of Employment Term guaranteeing the Town a minimum of 2 years employment in exchange for cost of sending you to the Wyoming Law Enforcement Academy.
Pre-employment screening will be done including but not limited to interviews and background checks.
